I’ve always thought that people who don’t wake up early are missing something in their life.

The light…. Just the light is gorgeous early in the morning, just for that I love to wake up early. Then, the silence, the city that still sleeping, the sunrise and the pink sky… I just love everything about waking up early, except waking up… like everybody I guess, but if I put the pain of waking up early and the joy of everything I explained above in a scale, the choice is easy to make.
And I didn’t even talk about the amount of things you’re able to do when you wake up early.
Early means 5 or 6am to me.
It’s ok to jump out of bed that early (I am not jumping really, let’s not exagerate) as you can still have a social life, go out for dinner and even go for drinks with your friends and have too many drinks and go to bed far too late, you just know in advance that you won’t be as fresh as a rose the next morning, but it’s possible 🙂

Today I woke up at 5am, had breakfast and got ready, left home at 6, arrived in Cannes at 7am (I am working in Cannes for the mipcom this week) bought some bread and croissant on the way (the bakeries’ smell in the morning also worth the early waking up), worked till 11am, went back home, cooked those beautiful prawns (yes, I had a craving again 🙂 ) and here I am, in my area, in a café I’m use to go, drinking a home made kombucha while writing this post…

Life is good, no ?…

Prawns and nectarins skewers, for 5 small skewers.

-10 prawns raw
-1 organic lime
-1 cm of ginger
-2 tbsp of sesame oil
-3 tbsp of coconut milk
-2 tbsp of soy sauce
-2 nectarines
-Sesame seeds

Rince the lime and take off the zests and the juice, peel the ginger and grate it.
In a bowl, mix the ginger, coconut milk, zest and juice of lime and the soy sauce. Coat the prawns with it, film and put it in the fridge for a least 30min.
Wash and cut the nectarine in segments, grill them in a very hot dry pan for a few seconds, do the same for the prawns. Depends on the size of your skewer, pick a prawn, then nectarine… and prawn…
Last minute, drizzle the rest of the juice with coconut milk on your hot skewer. And sesame seeds.

We are not in nectarins sesaon anymmore and I really try to respect the seasons as always. Those ones are organic and I bought them on a market stall to a local, that’s why, if you don’t have nectarins you can use pineapple instead, plums and even grapes.
